Each year, Dell recognizes outstanding employee volunteer efforts through the Volunteers of Distinction program. This week Dell is collecting worldwide entries for recognition of efforts in 2006. Grants from The Dell Foundation are made on behalf of the award winners to the organizations in which they volunteered.Dell works to provide an inclusive workplace so that we ensure we are attracting the very best talent to our teams and providing an environment where our employees can succeed. As part of our diversity efforts we recognize various cultural observances, including our recognition of Black History Month, recognized annually in the U.S. and Canada in February and the United Kingdom in October. Dell was pleased to welcome Dr. Johnnetta B. Cole, President of Bennett College for Women, as our keynote speaker at employee events held earlier this week at our Central Texas campuses. Dr. Cole is a noted anthropologist and social science scholar and speaks on both a national and international level on issues pertaining to justice, diversity, the health and safety of women, children, and underserved populations around the globe
